Limitless (2011)
There’s still a limit to the audience’s disbelief.
Presentation:
Mindlessly entertaining, this is a simple story that surely myself and many have fantasized about. Taking an unregulated super pill to unleash your full potential. It’s quite similar to Lucy except it’s more grounded in reality, never straying too far into sci-fi fantasy. With a yellow contrasty blockbuster grade, there are some interesting cinematography moments utilizing lenses, distortion, vignetting and blur to achieve some neat hallucinogenic effects to serve the story.
Conclusion:
Perfect for a lazy couch viewing or on Netflix, Just turn your mind off so Bradley Cooper can unlock his. If you can do that, this is a pretty fun cable TV weekend flick that should be forgettable, but an enjoyed viewing nonetheless. There’s a lot that won’t make sense, but the film doesn’t take itself seriously enough for you to care.
